The BabyBee instrument offers semi automation of washing and hybridisation for strip-based assays.

The user-friendly software allows the operator to design custom assays using the integral keypad. Up to 25 different assays can be stored with up to 30 steps per assay. Each step within the assay can be programmed to heat up to a different temperature ranging from ambient to 65 degrees centigrade.

The rocking tray can be programmed to tilt, rock, or remain level for each step, with an audible buzzer alerting the operator when each incubation step has been completed, and an audible bleeping sound to alert the operator to the end of the assay.

The Baby Bee is ideal for the small throughput laboratory, or for the research institute developing strip-based assays. The simple programming and operation of the instrument allows the Baby Bee to become a useful training tool for the laboratory.
